Fifth annual World Conference being held in Cape Town
Over 120 delegates, from 52 countries, are expected at the fifth annual Pastel International World Conference in Cape Town from the 8 th to the 12 th of November 2006.
Jeff Lewis, director of Pastel International, says this year’s conference will be held at the Vineyard hotel, with the key focus being to equip business partners in not only securing new customers, but keeping them for life.
“One of the main aims of the conference is to give business partners additional tools to assist them to do business better. As part of this drive, well-known speaker Michael Mol will be giving a presentation on ‘Understanding the X and Y generation in the market place’.”
“In addition, we’re having six third-party, vertical solutions sponsors showcasing products that integrate into Pastel Partner or Evolution. This provides business partners with a bigger arsenal of products when going back to their various markets,” he says.
Since its launch in 2001, the conference has grown substantially, with executives from Pastel’s 80 business partners in the 52 countries attending this year’s event. An important part of the conference will be the interaction between the partners and the software, and brainstorming new ideas on how to do business better. The annual software releases from Pastel will also be showcased and worked through to equip partners on the new products.
Lewis says the conference will culminate in an awards ceremony at a banquet on the Saturday night. Partners with the top sales will be recognised along with smaller partners who are up for awards for the best newcomer, support, technical expertise and so on.
“Those companies whose turnover exceeds R1 million will also join The Million Rand Club and be awarded a plaque with a Kruger Rand on it for their achievement,” he says.
